Once upon a time Audrey met Brian at NYU and they became friends. Then Brenda met Brian at Forestburgh Playhouse and fell in love. So Brenda met Audrey. Then Audrey went to work at a summer camp and fell in love with Chris. Then first Brenda & Brian, followed by Audrey & Chris, got married.
One day Brenda said to Audrey, "We should do a cabaret." They started brainstorming songs and themes... and realized one thing they have in common, and have a lot to say about, is being "happily, happily, HAPPILY married" (as Harold Sanditen says in his CabaretScenes.com review).
Wisely, the cabaret novices enlisted the help of cabaret royalty, musical director Tracy Stark and
director Julie Reyburn. And they were off!
So Then Comes Marriage was born. (Months before Brenda' & Brian's baby will be born... which comes up in the show.) (And a year before Audrey & Chris move to Australia... which also comes up in the show.)
Come celebrate this friendship, these relationships, and the laughter and tears it all generates!
